WELCOME TO ENGAGE

We are a local Christian charity which is passionate about taking the Christian message into schools in and around Woking. Our mission is to share the message with children and teenagers throughout their school life, supporting and inspiring them through faith, hope and love. We work collaboratively with local churches and the community to help build and strengthen connections with our local schools.

Working with over 30 Primary and Secondary Schools, as well as Woking College, our dedicated team of schools workers, volunteers and church Youth Workers deliver a wide variety of age-appropriate and accessible activities to help bring the Bible to life, including drama-led assemblies in Primary Schools and wellbeing support through mentoring and pastoral care for both pupils and staff in our Secondary Schools.

A PRAYER FOR ENGAGE

God of faith, hope and love,
Send your Holy Spirit to guide the work of Engage;
grant us vision in our planning,
wisdom in our decisions,
joy in our ministry,
and power to our witness.

Help Engage to nurture and encourage children and
young people,
to help them grow in faith,
grow in confidence,
grow in understanding of your love,
and grow in their desire to serve others.

Raise up leaders who will inspire the next generation,
strengthen Engage’s partnerships with churches, schools
and communities, and equip them to share the good
news of Jesus with courage and compassion.
May all that Engage does bring glory to you and help
children and young people discover the fullness of life
found in Christ.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

OUR WORK IN ACTION

“I just wanted to say a big thank you to Engage for the support you have been offering in school this half term. It is a key part of our wider pastoral system and is valued by both the students and our staff. Feedback from the students (and staff) involved is always positive and I know if makes a difference.”

Assistant Head, Woking Secondary School

“I am writing to you to thank you for all you do. I appreciate you guys doing a video for us to see even though it isn’t the same as it used be but it is still good. It is funny when you act in parts, your are AMAZING. I loved the video of the birth of Jesus this year, I like the part with the donkey and the bloopers it was so funny. I hope to see you guys again soon next Year In Person.”

Student, Primary School

“More than ever this year, our year 6 children have needed reassurance about the transition from Junior school to High School. Engaging with ‘Engage’ and the ‘It’s Your Move’ scheme has been invaluable, both for the children and their teachers. Having the books delivered and working on them together has helped the children to understand that the emotions they are feeling are ‘normal’ and it has relieved most of their fear and anxiety, so they can now look forward to a positive transition to their new schools. Thank you Shelley and the team.”

Sandra, Primary School Teacher
