We are a Christian charity taking the Gospel into schools: primary and secondary schools in and around Woking, as well as Woking College.
Our mission is to visit the young generation, sharing God's love with 15,000 children and teenagers each year: supporting, and inspiring through faith and hope.
We achieve this in many ways, such as leading school assemblies, pioneering "Open The Book" teams, Christian Unions and mentoring.
THANKS FOR PRAYING
Thanks for your prayers during the pandemic lockdown. when we adopted new ways of working and engaging with students.
The youth have enjoyed our Christian Union (CU) sessions, discussion s and prayers. Meanwhile we were able to deliver "It's your move" to Year 6 students as they finished primary school education and will move to secondary schools in the autumn.

Dear Partners and Supporters
Woking Schools and College
We are writing to update you on the current situation with our work in the Woking schools. Our assembly team completed their first week of Easter assemblies in the primary schools, but inevitably many schools are now cancelling. After this week’s directives, we and the team have decided to bring the assembly run to an end.
The same applies to the clubs, Christian Unions and other activities in all the schools and the College, but let me quote words from our team leader Sally summing up their first week:
“We are not discouraged. Last week we went to 10 schools taking the message of Jesus love to around 2000 children and teachers. There are 2000 people who will look at their Easter eggs differently this year! We are a small team but our message is huge and we are honoured to be part of such exciting work.”
Many of you are directly involved in the schools and will be more than aware of the present situation. Our primary concern, which we are sure you will share, is to support the school staff and pupils in this difficult time. For safeguarding reasons our contact with students outside school is very limited, though we have a Facebook page and are followed by students on Instagram. Churches are in touch with many pupils and their families and we would offer our support to any church seeking to help their local school community during this time. Please contact the office if we can be of any practical help.
A couple of requests for prayer please:
1. For peace and stability for students whose GCSE and A level exams will be deferred, and for the schools as they handle this and support the children.
2. For parents and carers juggling work, child care and their children’s’ education while they are at home.
On a more positive note, we are delighted to say we have appointed a new Primary Schools Worker to replace Patrick Coad. Jana Fuller will start work with us at the beginning of the summer term. We look forward to introducing Jana to you, but in the meantime please would you pray for her, and for Engage as we prepare her induction, as this is clearly not an ideal time to be starting work with a schools charity.
I am heartened at this time by our church’s verse for the year from Psalm 27 - “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Thank you for your continuing partnership in taking the Gospel into schools.
