Thank you for your ongoing prayer support, as we start the new school year please join us in praying :
* for “Find Where You Fit”, that we and other organisations would be supported and encouraged, and that workers for the harvest would step forward.
* that as we prepare our Christmas presentation, the Holy Spirit would prepare the hearts, minds and ears of those in school that will hear the message, and know God with us. Please pray as well that we would remember our lines, and remain healthy throughout, particularly as the shape of the team changes.
Thank you for your continued support, here are a few things you might like to join us in praying for:
- The schools and children that we visited at Christmas, as we return with the story of Easter, bringing back the gifts of the wise men. Pray that their memories would be stirred, as we show that Christmas and Easter are not separate stories, but the fulfillment of the prophecy.
- The team (those with us, and those unable to take part), that the energy and enthusiasm would remain with us through the 3 weeks.
-Give thanks for the many volunteers supporting the assemblies and Open the Book...

Listen to Royer Slater, an Engage Trustee, telling Sunday Breakfast Show presenter Emily Jeffery about our Christmas "virtual" gifts scheme. (Broadcast Sunday 27 November 2016 on BBC Surrey and BBC Sussex.)
This week the Primary School assembly team have been visiting the following schools with an Open The Book assembly - let's pray for interest in the schools and the local churches so that we might make this a more regular event: Knaphill Junior; Barnsbury Primary; Bisley Cof E Primary; Westfield Primary; St Hugh of Lincoln RC Primary; Send CofE First School; St Bede's CofE Junior School; St Mary's CofE Primary; Valley End CofE Infant School.
Here are our latest prayer requests, your continued prayer support is very much appreciated and as you will see they are frequently answered.
give thanks for the assembly team who have coped well with a changing and sometimes inexperienced cast. Prayers that the children will remember the message of forgiveness whilst they enjoy their Easter eggs and hot cross buns.
the teacher at St Bede's who has hosted the Christian Club has a new job. This puts us in the position of needing to find another member of staff (and possibly volunteer support) to continue this NOW.
Please join us for coffee & prayer on Friday 12th February. We meet at 9:30 in the chapel in St Andrew's Church, Goldsworth Park for coffee, an update on our work and collective prayer. We finish by 10:30.
Thank you for your continued prayer support, here are our latest prayer requests:
Please pray for the assembly team, and the introduction of Open the Book (OtB) to a few new schools (though they may not be aware of what it is at this stage). Please pray as well for the invitation to churches to come and see what OtB is, as we hope that interest and enthusiasm for it may be spread through the changes to these midterm assemblies.
We have had some interest from Ripley C of E, so prayers that we might accommodate them into our assembly bookings.
